Selina Kuruleca, the Permanent Secretary for Education, has been reassigned to the position of Permanent Secretary for Justice, starting next Tuesday. Ratu Meli Nacuva, currently the Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, will take on the role of acting Permanent Secretary for Education.
Luke Rokovada, Chair of the Public Service Commission, expressed gratitude to Kuruleca for her commitment to maintaining high standards in education through her focus on quality and equity. He is hopeful that Kuruleca’s new role will allow her to apply her skills and experience effectively.
Rokovada noted that Nacuva offers significant expertise in public administration, education policy, and training and development, which will be essential in advancing the Ministry’s goals to improve the quality and availability of education for all citizens.
