The Ministry of Education is closely observing the current weather conditions and their potential effects on the Year 13 National Examinations set to begin tomorrow.
Education Minister Aseri Radrodro stated that they will provide timely updates to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff involved. He emphasized the importance of staying informed through updates from the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO).
Radrodro urged parents and guardians to pay attention to weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of children. The Ministry’s Disaster Risk Reduction team is actively monitoring the situation.
Additionally, Radrodro called on Divisional and District officers to work with school heads to secure all school facilities and ensure the safety of students. He reminded school heads to release children only to their parents or guardians when it is safe to do so.
