Many regions across the country are facing flooding, with homes inundated following significant rainfall overnight in the Eastern Division. In Wailoku, residences remain submerged, and efforts are underway to clear away debris.
The Fiji Meteorological Services reports that the Eastern Division is still dealing with heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods in numerous low-lying areas. The Nadi Weather Office attributes the current weather to a trough of low pressure moving slowly eastward over Fiji.
Showers linked to this weather system are expected to continue in the affected areas until later today. Other divisions may see partly cloudy weather with occasional rain.
Stay tuned for more updates.
