The Fijian Drua has officially announced the signing of national under-20 representatives Breyton Legge and John Muller to its Development program for the 2025 season. This program serves as a crucial pipeline into the main Super Rugby Pacific squad.

Legge, who plays as a loosehead prop, has made nine appearances for the Fiji Under 20 team since 2022 and participated in the recent U20 World Rugby Championship held in South Africa. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It feels great. I’ve always dreamed of playing for my country and competing in the Super Rugby competition.”

Muller also showcased his talents at the U20 World Cup in 2021 and was part of the Fiji Warriors team that won the Pacific Rugby Cup in 2023. He captained the Northland rugby team in this season’s local provincial competition.

Muller shared his excitement about joining the Drua, saying, “It is a dream come true, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to join the Fijian Drua. I can’t wait to start training with the team.”

Ifereimi Rawaqa, the Fijian Drua Development and Skills Coach, commented on the addition of the two players, noting, “Both Legge and Muller were part of Fiji Rugby’s HPU program, and I’m pleased to see their progression into Drua Development. They add valuable depth to our prop lineup.”

Rawaqa further highlighted their abilities, saying, “Legge is a skilled player and a quick learner. Muller is hardworking and brings aggression in both attack and defense. I’m confident that with more professional development through Drua, these young players will advance to the next level.”

In the past two years, several development players have successfully earned Super Rugby Pacific contracts, including Livai Natave, Philip Baselala, Taniela Rakuro, Motikiai Murray, Mesake Vocevoce, and Sikeli Rabitu.
