Former students, parents, and current students gathered in large numbers on Thursday evening to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Drasa Primary School and the 50th anniversary of Drasa Secondary School.
Shiva Gounder, managing director of Subrail’s Furniture, officiated the event at the Lautoka school, highlighting the importance of reflecting on a century of educational achievement and development.
“We honor Drasa Primary School’s 100 years of excellence and the 50-year journey of Drasa Secondary School,” Gounder remarked. “This event is a testament to the enduring spirit of education and its role in shaping the future.”
He extended his congratulations to the staff, students, and alumni of Drasa Primary School for reaching this centennial milestone, emphasizing that 100 years is a significant achievement. “It reflects the enduring strength and vision that has guided this institution from its humble beginnings.”
The celebration culminated in a three-day carnival at the primary school, which concluded yesterday. The event showcased a range of activities, including cultural performances, sports competitions, and food stalls.
