Officers from the Southern Division swiftly intervened and apprehended two individuals suspected of being involved in separate robbery cases.
The first suspect was arrested following reports of a robbery in Vatuwaqa, where thieves had stolen a safe along with various electronic items from a business in the Lalita Bhindi Sub-Division. The Southern Division task force responded to the alert and successfully detained one suspect shortly after the incident.
In a separate incident, a woman was reportedly robbed while walking along Gaji Road late Saturday night. The victim pursued the suspect, and nearby officers quickly responded to the situation, leading to the suspect’s capture. He is currently in custody at the Raiwaqa Police Station.
Investigations into both robbery cases are still ongoing.
