Officers from the Southern Division swiftly apprehended two men in connection with two separate robbery incidents. The first suspect was arrested after police received a report of a robbery in Vatuwaqa, where a group of men had stolen a safe and various electronic items from a business situated in the Lalita Bhindi Sub-Division. The Southern Division task force acted promptly, leading to the arrest of one suspect who is now in custody.
In the second incident, a woman was reportedly robbed while walking along Gaji Road late Saturday night. The victim pursued the suspect, and officers nearby responded to the situation, successfully capturing the individual. The suspect is now detained at the Raiwaqa Police Station. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
