The Dominion Brothers Youth rugby team, managed by Manasa Moto, is actively preparing for the highly anticipated McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s tournament, set to take place from January 16-18 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Moto has highlighted the significance of this tournament as a vital opportunity for the young players to gain exposure and showcase their skills in a competitive environment.

As they enter their second week of training, Moto expressed a positive outlook regarding the players’ readiness, saying, “The players are aware of what’s required from them.” Despite the optimism, the team is grappling with significant challenges, including logistical issues related to food and transportation, along with limited sponsorship. Nevertheless, the resilience of the Dominion Brothers is commendable, largely supported by financial contributions from senior players currently abroad who are giving back to their junior teammates.

The team is focused on advancing to the Cup final and defending their title, which underscores the transformative potential of rugby as a pathway for personal development, especially for many players who have dropped out of school.
