Dominion Brothers triumphed over the PSM Aflame Bros in a thrilling match, securing a 14-12 victory to claim the men’s cup trophy at the Fiji Sports Council’s Under 20 sevens rugby tournament held at Thomson Park in Navua. The final showcased the skill and passion of both teams, as they battled fiercely in pursuit of victory as the day came to a close.

The tournament featured impressive performances from all participating teams across its five legs, culminating in this intense finale. Manasa Mata, the team’s manager, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the players’ dedication, stating, “I am so thankful to them for the win and for giving their time and effort to show their talents.”

Mata noted that the team was formed with the intention of helping the players support their families through the sport. He emphasized the importance of developing their talents and skills, ensuring that they not only excelled on the field but also became positive members of their teams and families.

The players, born between 2004 and 2006, enjoyed the opportunity to compete thanks to the collaboration between the Fiji Sports Council and the Fiji Rugby Union, which organized the tournament. Dominion Brothers walked away with a prize of $3,500.

The tournament is set to continue next week with its second leg taking place at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, promising more excitement and opportunities for young talent.
