Discipline Pays Off: Meet the Baton of Honour Winner from Fiji

Mosese Tuimatai, an 18-year-old student from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, has been honored as the recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School. He expressed the importance of living with discipline, a value instilled in him by his father from a young age.

Mosese was taken by surprise when he was called to accept the award, as he is the first in his family to complete Year 13. He emphasized the significance of listening to parents and the role of the cadet training program in fostering self-discipline among students. He expressed his gratitude to the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces and the teachers for the discipline they have instilled in the students, which he believes is beneficial in the long run.

With aspirations of becoming a marine engineer, Mosese thanked God for helping him reach this milestone and acknowledged his family’s unwavering support. He conveyed his joy and gratitude upon receiving the Baton of Honour, remarking that he did not expect to be honored in such a way.
