Mosese Tuimatai, recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of living with discipline for long-term benefits. The 18-year-old, hailing from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, shared that he has adhered to a principle instilled by his father from a young age.
Surprised by the announcement of his award, Mosese is proud to be the first in his family to complete Year 13. He stated, “It is crucial for us as children to heed our parents’ guidance.” He remarked on the value of the cadet training program, noting that it cultivates self-discipline among students, which can lead to significant advantages later in life. He expressed gratitude towards the teachers for facilitating the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces’ training, which has been instrumental in developing discipline among students.
Mosese aspires to pursue a career as a marine engineer, expressing his thanks to God for helping him reach this milestone. He acknowledged his family’s unwavering support, saying, “I am grateful to each one of them.” Reflecting on his unexpected honor, he shared, “Receiving the Baton of Honour fills me with happiness and gratitude.”
