Mosese Tuimatai, a recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of discipline for long-term benefits. The 18-year-old from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, expressed his surprise upon receiving the award, making him the first member of his family to reach Year 13.
He reflected on the valuable lessons taught by his father, highlighting the significance of listening to parents. Mosese noted that the cadet training program plays a vital role in teaching self-discipline, which he believes is essential for students. He extended his gratitude to the teachers for facilitating the training provided by the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, which he feels has instilled valuable discipline in students.
With aspirations of becoming a marine engineer, Mosese expressed his thankfulness to God for his achievements so far and acknowledged his family’s unwavering support. He conveyed his happiness and gratitude upon receiving the Baton of Honour, a recognition he did not expect.
