Discipline Pays Off: Inspiring Journey of Baton of Honour Recipient

Mosese Tuimatai, an 18-year-old student from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, has been honored with the Baton of Honour at Ratu Sukuna Memorial School. Reflecting on the values instilled in him by his father, Mosese emphasized the significance of living with discipline for long-term benefits.

His achievement is notable as he is the first in his family to complete Year 13. Expressing his surprise upon receiving the award, he stated, “It is important for us as children to listen to our parents.” He credited the cadet training program for teaching self-discipline, which he believes is essential for students and contributes to their success. Mosese expressed his gratitude to the teachers and the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces for their role in instilling these values.

With aspirations to become a marine engineer, Mosese expressed thankfulness for reaching this milestone. He acknowledged the support of his family and praised them for always being there for him. The honor of receiving the Baton of Honour came as a joyful surprise to him, making him feel both happy and grateful.
