Discipline and Dreams: A Young Student’s Inspiring Journey

Mosese Tuimatai, a recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of living with discipline for long-term benefits. The 18-year-old, who hails from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, credited a valuable lesson from his father for his success.

Surprised by the recognition, Mosese expressed pride in being the first in his family to complete Year 13. “It is vital for us as children to listen to our parents,” he stated. He acknowledged the role of the cadet training program, which he believes teaches self-discipline and is beneficial for students’ growth. He extended his gratitude to the teachers and the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces for their guidance.

With aspirations of becoming a marine engineer, Mosese expressed his heartfelt thanks to God and his family for their unwavering support. Winning the Baton of Honour was unexpected for him, making the moment both joyous and meaningful.
