Spread the love

About 100 individuals who collect recyclables at the Maururu dumpsite in Ba now have access to water, washrooms, and areas for meals and rest.

This improvement has been made possible through the efforts of the Pacific Recycling Foundation (PRF) in partnership with GlobalGiving, R C Manubhai Group of Companies, and the Ba Town Council.

“This Dignity Facility in Ba represents more than just infrastructure; it symbolizes respect and recognition for the invaluable work these individuals do every day,” said PRF founder Amitesh Deo.

“Our goal is to provide them with the dignity they deserve and to inspire other stakeholders to join us in this mission,” added Mr. Deo.

Ba Town Council’s Acting CEO Renal Prasad reiterated the council’s commitment to effective partnership with PRF.

“The Ba Town Council is proud to be part of this initiative. We must ensure that those who work tirelessly to keep our environment clean and sustainable are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve,” he said.
