The New South Wales Police Force has announced that efforts to locate a Fijian man who went missing in the Murrumbidgee River are still underway. The 32-year-old was reported missing on Sunday at Middle Beach in Yanco, prompting authorities to mobilize emergency services to the scene.
Police from the Murrumbidgee Police District, in collaboration with NSW Ambulance, the State Emergency Service (SES), and the Volunteer Rescue Association, conducted a thorough search operation in the area. Unfortunately, their attempts to find the man were unsuccessful, leading to the suspension of the search due to darkness and perilous river conditions around 8 pm.
The police are urging the public to come forward with any information that might assist in locating the missing individual.
This situation highlights the community’s potential role in aiding search efforts, emphasizing the importance of collective vigilance and support during difficult times. It is a reminder that, while challenges may arise, hope remains as rescuers continue their determination to find the man and bring peace to his loved ones.
