Deadline Extended: Join the Race for Prime Minister’s International Business Awards!

Due to a high number of applicants eager to take part in the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards, the application deadline has been extended by four days, now set to close tomorrow, Friday, October 4, 2024.

So far, more than 200 applications have been received, with Chief Executive Officer Kamal Chetty highlighting that businesses throughout Fiji are enthusiastic about showcasing their achievements and their contributions to the country’s economic development.

“The extension was granted to enable more applicants to submit their entries properly,” Chetty explained.

All categories have seen submissions, with a wide variety of businesses vying for recognition. Investment Fiji has noted the focus on sustainability and innovation among many of the applicants.

“Numerous reputable companies have displayed their capabilities and their dedication to contributing positively to the nation,” Chetty emphasized.

This year, new categories such as the Excellence in Employer Award, Excellence in Fisheries Award, Excellence in Forestry Award, and the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award have attracted considerable interest.

“This highlights a growing awareness of responsible business practices and a commitment to making a positive impact on our communities and the environment,” remarked Chetty.

The Prime Minister’s International Business Awards aim to recognize exceptional Fijian businesses that have significantly impacted the nation through exemplary operations and leadership.

This year’s theme, Business Innovation and Sustainability, mirrors the changing dynamics of business contributions.

Businesses looking to apply are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline tomorrow. For more information and to access the application, please visit www.iba.org.fj.
