Shalen Prasad emerged as the champion of the Friends United 501 Darts singles competition held over the weekend at Fiji Club. Shivneel Narayan finished as the runner-up in this exciting event.
Salen Singh, a member of the Suva Darts Association committee, expressed delight in hosting 48 talented players, which included several skilled female participants. Singh thanked everyone who played a role in ensuring the event’s success, particularly highlighting Fiji Club for their excellent venue and the dedicated members of the darts community for their ongoing support.
Additionally, Singh acknowledged the generosity of Damodar Cinemas for providing movie tickets and Neel Shivam of Metro Gym for sponsoring the beautiful trophies and cash prizes. Special recognition was given to semi-finalists Ragen Mani and the impressive 12-year-old Seru Rehaan, son of the late Mereia Ravasiga and Laurance Ram.
The event also featured special prizes for exceptional scores, with a unique trophy awarded to Christine Inisha Ram in memory of her late mother, Mereia Ravasiga.
Singh congratulated all the participants and winners for their remarkable performances, showcasing the talent and camaraderie within the darts community.
