Tevita Loga, a 56-year-old businessman who runs a bakery named Three T’s in Naruwai, Dama, Bua, has highlighted the positive impact of local businesses on community development. He noted that their bakery, which is only one month into operation, is positively embraced by the local residents of Dama, resulting in a steady flow of customers.
The bakery aims to support the local community by providing job opportunities and a reliable source of baked goods, given that the nearest bakery is quite far away. Loga mentioned that about 130 families live in the district and greatly benefit from having a bakery nearby, as they previously had to travel approximately 200 kilometers for such essentials.
In recent weeks, business has been thriving, primarily due to the support from community members who frequently buy their products. The bakery offers a variety of items, including cream buns, cheese buns, pizza, coconut rolls, and cakes. Loga noted that the ongoing support indicates a growing demand for their offerings despite some logistical challenges they face in distributing their products to other areas.
Loga emphasized the importance of perseverance, urging others to maintain a strong work ethic to ensure stability and success in their business endeavors. He believes that success is crucial for community upliftment and that entrepreneurs must work diligently to overcome obstacles and contribute positively to the local economy.
