Cuvu College’s Rugby Upset: A Journey of Faith and Improvement

The Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team is focused on refining their skills, particularly in the scrum area. Assistant coach Samisoni Navatu shared this insight, emphasizing that there is still potential for growth, despite the team’s recent thrilling 23-22 victory over the favored Ratu Kadavulevu School in the quarterfinals.

Navatu described the match as intense and expressed gratitude for the outcome. “Glory to God for this win,” he remarked, highlighting the team’s aim to secure victory and commending the players for their performance.

He also mentioned that there was confusion regarding the final score when officials initially declared RKS as the winner. “We were happy when the decision was reversed, but the job is not done yet,” Navatu noted. He acknowledged that some players are still 17 while others are 18, yet they collectively persevered to achieve success.

Navatu is urging their loyal supporters to come out in large numbers to rally behind the team during the semi-final clash against Nasinu Secondary School scheduled for Saturday.
