Marica Waqaniburotu celebrated a significant achievement by dedicating her recent wins to her family. Last night, she was honored with the titles of Miss Friendly North 2024 and Miss Charity at an event held in front of a large audience at Subrail Park in Labasa.

She expressed her gratitude, stating, “This victory is for my family, who have been my biggest supporters. Their love and encouragement have been my greatest source of strength.” Waqaniburotu emphasized that all participants in this year’s festival were deserving of recognition, saying, “These crowns are not just for me but for all the queens who have paved the way.”

In the competition, Adi Volitikoro, representing the Labasa Town Council, was awarded first runner-up, while Vika Tadu, representing the Miss Northern Civil Service, secured the second runner-up title along with the Miss Photogenic award.
