The crown for the 2024 Miss Hibiscus pageant has been expertly designed by the Royal jeweler for Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u of Tonga. Maria Yang, a skilled jewelry designer and contemporary artist, has crafted this luxurious vintage crown using Swarovski crystals and pearls. The crown features an elegant finish with alloy, silver, and gold plating.
Yang is a certified emerald appraiser recognized by the Hong Kong Jewelry Institute, a researcher of colored gemstones, and a member of the China Collectors Association. She is also the founder of the jewelry brands ‘Star Wisdom’ and ‘Cheese de Mars.’ Since 2019, Yang has made her home in Tonga, where she serves as the Royal jewelry designer for Queen Nanasipau’u.
