Marica Waqaniburotu, who emerged as a double crowned winner, dedicated her recent victories to her family. She was honored as Miss Friendly North 2024 and Miss Charity during a vibrant ceremony attended by thousands at Subrail Park in Labasa.
“This victory is for my family, who have been my biggest supporters,” Waqaniburotu expressed. She highlighted the love and encouragement of her family as her primary source of strength and praised the other contestants, stating that they were all winners in this year’s festival. “These crowns are not just for me but for all the queens who have paved the way,” she added.
Additionally, Adi Volitikoro of the Labasa Town Council secured the title of first runner-up, while Vika Tadu, representing the Northern Civil Service, won both second runner-up and the Miss Photogenic award.
