Two exciting finals are scheduled for today at Albert Park in Suva, featuring the conclusion of the India-Fiji T-20 Cricket tournament and the Business House Super Six tournaments.
The day will begin with the Business House Super Six tournament, which will include the quarterfinals, followed by the highly anticipated T-20 final match between the Police team and the Western Lions at 2 PM.
Sumanta Kumar Rout, the president of Suva Cricket, shared his enthusiasm for the competitions that have taken place over recent weeks. “We had 10 clubs participating in the T-20 tournament, and the level of competition has been intense,” Rout stated. He highlighted that the Western Lions, making their debut, secured a spot in the finals by defeating Moce in the semifinals.
“This marks a historic moment for the Suva Cricket Association as the Western Lions face the Police team in the final, a matchup that promises to be intriguing due to the new players on the Western Lions team,” he added.
In addition to the T-20 final, the Business House Super Six tournament has seen 14 teams competing for the championship title. “The competition has been fierce throughout the pool games, leading up to what is expected to be an exciting final showdown,” Rout mentioned.
