A man who verbally insulted a High Court judge received a final warning for his conduct during a recent hearing. Tomasi Bose appeared before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere in the Suva High Court, facing charges of robbery and serious assault.
During the previous court session, Mr. Bose expressed vulgarities after the judge had advised him to obtain legal representation. Although he had rejected this suggestion twice, his frustration peaked when he was urged for a third time to seek legal counsel.
Justice Tuiqereqere informed Mr. Bose that any further outbursts could lead to alternative measures being taken to address his case.
In related proceedings, State prosecutor Zenith Zunaid opposed Mr. Bose’s bail application. Mr. Bose is expected to respond to the objection by Friday, and the case has been adjourned until September 17.
