Courtroom Chaos: Last Warning for Swearing Defendant

A man who directed profanity at a High Court judge received a final warning for his conduct. Tomasi Bose appeared before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere in Suva, facing charges of robbery and serious assault.

During the previous court session, Mr. Bose apologized to the judge for the vulgar language he used after being advised to seek legal representation. Although he had declined this suggestion twice before, he responded with outbursts of frustration when the judge encouraged him to reconsider for a third time.

Justice Tuiqereqere cautioned Mr. Bose that any further disrespectful behavior would result in alternative measures being taken to handle his case.

Additionally, state prosecutor Zenith Zunaid opposed Mr. Bose’s bail application. Mr. Bose is expected to respond to this objection by Friday, with the case adjourned until September 17.
