Resident Magistrate Sufia Hamza is set to make a decision today regarding former Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s request to travel to Singapore for a medical evaluation. During a court hearing on Tuesday, Sayed-Khaiyum expressed that he has been experiencing significant pain since March, with episodes occurring three to four times a week, severely affecting his ability to function. He presented his case during the hearing for a variation of bail conditions. Sayed-Khaiyum is scheduled to appear in court at noon.
