Parliament will convene at the end of this month to appoint the President of Fiji. The Business Committee has announced that this appointment will take place on the 31st of this month at 11 am. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is anticipated to nominate the current President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere. According to the 2013 Constitution, a president is permitted to serve two terms in office.
