Corruption Charges: Former Minister Ravu Maintains Innocence in Court

Former Fisheries Minister Kalaveti Ravu has entered a not guilty plea regarding charges connected to corruption. Ravu appeared in the Magistrates Court in Suva today, facing one charge of Abuse of Office, while Tekata Toisi, the Regional Manager for the North, is charged with Aiding and Abetting Abuse of Office. The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption has provided the defense counsel with second phase disclosures. The case has been postponed until August 28 for further mention.
