Vinaya Habosi, who was reinstated after an investigation into domestic violence, made an impact on the field as Racing 92 secured a victory over Vannes in the Top 14 on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hugo Auradou made his return for Pau in his first match since facing rape allegations in Argentina.

Habosi’s scoring effort came less than three weeks after his arrest following a dispute with his wife. The 24-year-old has faced disciplinary measures from the club and has been required to participate in a domestic violence program.

In the match, Habosi helped Racing overturn a deficit to win 27-24, marking only their second victory in five games this season and easing some pressure on head coach Stuart Lancaster, a former England and Leinster manager. Vannes, in their first season in the top flight, remain at the bottom of the standings after suffering their fourth defeat.

In Perpignan, Auradou, a 21-year-old lock, started for Pau about a month after returning home following rape allegations stemming from an incident in Argentina. He and La Rochelle flanker Oscar Jegou were arrested in July after playing their first international match for France against Argentina.

The allegations involve the players allegedly assaulting a woman in a hotel room after a night out following the Test match. Both players have denied the accusations, maintaining that the encounter was consensual. Recently, Argentine prosecutors recommended dropping the charges against them.

Jegou has resumed training with La Rochelle, although he was not included in their match against Lyon on Saturday. Later in the day, Antoine Dupont’s previous team Castres was set to face Toulouse, Dupont’s current club, but the star scrum-half was absent due to a trip to the United States for a short vacation, where he met soccer legend Lionel Messi in Miami.
