Vinaya Habosi, who was recalled after an investigation into domestic violence, made a key contribution to Racing 92 as they defeated Vannes in the Top 14 on Saturday. This performance came less than three weeks after Habosi was arrested following a domestic dispute with his wife. The 24-year-old Fijian winger scored during the match, helping Racing come from behind to win 27-24. This victory marked only their second win in five matches this season, easing some pressure on head coach Stuart Lancaster.

Meanwhile, Hugo Auradou played his first match for Pau following serious allegations of rape in Argentina. The 21-year-old France lock returned to the team a month after facing accusations stemming from an incident that occurred after a Test match. Along with La Rochelle’s Oscar Jegou, Auradou was arrested in July after their debut caps against Argentina. The allegations claimed that the athletes assaulted a woman in a hotel room after a night out. Both deny the charges, asserting that their encounter was consensual. On Friday, Argentine prosecutors suggested dismissing the rape charges against them.

Jegou has resumed training with La Rochelle but was not included in the lineup for their match against Lyon on Saturday. Later in the day, Antoine Dupont’s former team Castres was set to face his current club Toulouse, although Dupont was absent, having spent his post-Olympic holiday in the United States, where he met football legend Lionel Messi in Miami.
