Professor Biman Prasad, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, took part in a Bhajan Competition aimed at supporting the construction of the Naag Deo Sthaan in Nukuloa, Savusavu.

On Saturday, the local community gathered at Narere Primary School to express their solidarity with this important initiative.

The Naag Deo Sthaan is an officially recognized Hindu religious organization, managed by a committee composed of community members who act as mandalis, serving as representatives of their religious group in Savusavu.

Despite the temple being temporarily closed to the public due to ongoing construction work, community members continue to visit, demonstrating their faith and dedication to the Naag Deo Sthaan.

It is anticipated that the temple will be completed by the end of November, and those who hold a strong faith in Naag Baba are eagerly awaiting the celebration of this achievement, which will culminate in a grand opening event for the newly built temple.
