Community Unites for Navua Hospital: Over $31K Raised at Fundraiser!

The Navua Hospital Board of Visitors successfully raised over $31,940 during a black tie fundraiser held last Saturday, exceeding their initial fundraising goals.

Felichya Kayes, the secretary for the Board of Visitors, reported that ticket sales generated approximately $27,600, with additional contributions from attendees and local businesses.

“The support we received has been overwhelming,” Ms. Kayes stated.

The funds are earmarked for vital renovations and the acquisition of new equipment aimed at improving patient care at the hospital. She emphasized that the fundraiser is an essential part of the ongoing efforts to enhance Navua Hospital, which serves a growing community.

The proposed renovations will address several pressing needs, ensuring the facility continues to deliver high-quality care to its patients.

Ms. Kayes mentioned that planning is already in motion for future fundraising events, including a morning tea designed to engage local businesses, along with an invitation for them to tour Navua Hospital.

“This morning tea is a way to involve our local businesses with Navua Hospital, supporting our team and addressing the needs of our hospital,” she noted.

She concluded by stating that the success of the black tie event underscores the community’s commitment to the wellbeing of Navua Hospital and its patients.
