Professor Biman Prasad, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, recently took part in a Bhajan Competition to support the construction of the Naag Deo Sthaan in Nukuloa, Savusavu.
The event, held last Saturday at Narere Primary School, saw the local community come together to back this important initiative.
The Naag Deo Sthaan is an officially recognized Hindu religious organization, with a committee composed of mandalis, or representatives, from the Savusavu community.
Although the temple is currently closed to the public due to construction, many still visit the site, demonstrating their faith and dedication to Naag Deo Sthaan.
The temple is expected to be completed by the end of November, and community members who believe strongly in Naag Baba are eagerly anticipating a grand opening celebration for the newly built temple.
