Korotogo Andhra Sangam Primary School in Nadroga has received financial support for its extra-curricular activities with a donation of $2,000 from Warwick Fiji Resort.
School manager Ramesh Naidu expressed gratitude to the resort for its contribution to the school’s maintenance project. He noted that the resort’s involvement helps reconnect with the community by providing funds to sponsor the school’s scout jamboree and support the mathematics competition team, which recently reached the finals for the first time.
Naidu stated, “We are very grateful because this will go a long way for the benefit of students.”
Nitin Goundar, the director of Human Resources at Warwick Fiji, indicated that the donation is part of the resort’s corporate social responsibility outreach program. The school has an enrollment of over 550 students.
Additionally, the school expressed appreciation to the ‘Daughters of Charity’ for providing library books for their kindergarten. Naidu emphasized the importance of such donations for enhancing the educational experience of the students.
