Korotogo Andhra Sangam Primary School in Nadroga has received a significant boost for its extra-curricular activities thanks to a $2000 donation from the Warwick Fiji Resort. School manager Ramesh Naidu expressed gratitude for the resort’s support in their maintenance project.
“The resort’s assistance will help us fund the sponsorship of the scout’s jamboree and support our mathematics competition team, which reached the finals for the first time,” Naidu commented. He emphasized the importance of the contribution, saying, “We are very grateful because this will go a long way for the benefit of students.”
Nitin Goundar, the Director of Human Resources at Warwick Fiji, noted that the donation is part of the resort’s corporate social responsibility outreach initiative. The school has a student population of over 550.
Additionally, the school expressed its appreciation to the ‘Daughters of Charity’ for providing library books to their kindergarten program. “We appreciate donations to our Andhra Kindergarten. It is all for the betterment of the students,” Naidu added.
