Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has recently provided essential items to the Loloma Home and Care Centre in Waimalika, Sabeto, Nadi, to help alleviate the daily struggles faced by single mothers and their children. Established in 2009 by the late Adi Laite Nawawabalavu Kubunadakai, the centre serves as a refuge for single mothers and their kids.
Angela Broad, Head of Marketing, Brand, and Activation, expressed admiration for the strength and resilience of the women at Loloma Home. “When we learned about the centre’s mission, we knew we wanted to help,” she stated. “The work they do here is truly impactful, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute.”
Vaciseva Waqa, the director of the Loloma Home, along with her team, expressed their gratitude for the support from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. “With the help of organizations like Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, we can continue providing the care these women and their children need,” Ms. Waqa remarked, highlighting that the donation would significantly benefit the residents.
During their visit, the Coca-Cola team listened to stories from the mothers, many of whom have faced rejection from their families. A team member noted, “This visit has been a humbling experience. It serves as a reminder that no matter where we are, we can make a difference by showing compassion and supporting those in need.”
The centre collaborates closely with the Department of Social Welfare and the local community to remain a vital resource for at-risk women. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners emphasized that this contribution underscores the positive role businesses can play in supporting the communities they inhabit.
