Coca-Cola’s Heartwarming Gift to Empower Single Mothers

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners recently provided essential items to the Loloma Home and Care Centre in Waimalika, Sabeto, Nadi, to support single mothers and their children. The centre, established in 2009 by the late Adi Laite Nawawabalavu Kubunadakai, serves as a refuge for these women and their children.

Angela Broad, the head of marketing, brand, and activation, expressed admiration for the strength and resilience of the women residing at Loloma Home. She stated, “When we learned about the centre’s mission, we knew we wanted to help. The work they do here is truly impactful, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute.”

Vaciseva Waqa, the director of the Loloma Centre, and her team expressed their gratitude to Coca-Cola Europacific Partners for their support, emphasizing that such contributions enable them to continue providing necessary care. “Today’s donation will make a real difference,” Ms. Waqa remarked.

During the visit, team members heard poignant stories from mothers who have faced rejection from their own families. One team member mentioned, “This visit has been a humbling experience. It’s a reminder that no matter where we are, we can make a difference by showing compassion and supporting those in need.”

The centre collaborates closely with the Department of Social Welfare and the local community to serve as an essential resource for vulnerable women. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners highlighted that their contribution exemplifies the positive impact businesses can have in supporting their communities.
