The three political parties in Government are strong and have been united since the formation of the Coalition after the 2022 General Election.
Stating this to FijiLive outside Parliament today, National Federation Party Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad said he met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka this morning and reaffirmed their support for the Coalition Government.
“The Prime Minister has made it clear that he has already had the meeting with some of the independent MPs, who have shown their support for the Prime Minister.”
“They will remain independent MPs from the Opposition Side, who support the Government,” Prof Prasad said.
Prof Prasad added that the focus is on passing the 2024-2025 National Budget and delivering for the Fijian people.
“We are surprised with the support it is getting from people,” he said.
