The three political parties in the Government have remained strong and united since the formation of the Coalition following the 2022 General Election.
National Federation Party Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad made this statement to FijiLive outside Parliament today. He mentioned having met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka this morning to reaffirm their support for the Coalition Government.
“The Prime Minister has made it clear that he has already had a meeting with some of the independent MPs, who have shown their support for the Prime Minister,” Prasad said.
“They will remain independent MPs from the Opposition Side, who support the Government,” he added.
Prof Prasad emphasized that the focus is on passing the 2024-2025 National Budget and delivering results for the Fijian people.
“We are surprised with the support it is getting from people,” he stated.
