Clothes for Good has generously donated $5,000 to the Nasole Housing Assistance Relief Trust (HART) Community, highlighting their commitment to local charitable causes. This donation was made on Wednesday as part of their mission to support the Fijian community.

As the first-ever non-profit preloved clothing store in Fiji, Clothes for Good operates two stores located in Nabua and Lami, near Suva. The profits generated from these stores are channeled back into the community, directly benefiting various local charities and initiatives.

Founder Hayden Ostrom emphasizes the company’s focus on charity, stating, “Our business is centered around charity, helping communities like Nasole HART grow and raise their standard of living.” He notes that their goal is to empower struggling communities and help improve their circumstances.

Ostrom further expressed that every purchase made at their stores not only provides customers with quality clothing and shoes but also contributes to positive changes for those in dire need in Fiji. Notably, he highlighted that all profits from their stores are dedicated to helping the local population.

The recent donation is earmarked for necessary improvements within the community, including repairing the fences due to past incidents of break-ins, which underscores the importance of safety. “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home, especially in a community that has faced violence,” Ostrom remarked. Additionally, funds will be allocated to refurbish a community hall, which has been suffering from leaks and needs urgent repairs. This facility is vital for local children, as it serves as a study area.

This act of generosity illustrates how charitable businesses can significantly impact their communities, fostering improvement and safety for the residents of Fiji. Such initiatives not only uplift communities but also inspire others to participate in charitable giving.

In summary, Clothes for Good’s donation to the Nasole HART Community reflects a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Fijians, illustrating the powerful impact of community-focused businesses.
