Church’s $1.1 Million Gift: New Dorms Transform Ratu Kadavulevu School!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received commendations for successfully completing two new dormitory buildings for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. During the inauguration, the Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, expressed the government’s appreciation for the $1.1 million refurbishment.

The newly constructed dormitories, named Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, will provide housing for hundreds of students at Ratu Kadavulevu School, made possible by the Church’s efforts.

The Church has a long-standing commitment to education and humanitarian initiatives in the Pacific region, and this project highlights their dedication to supporting the youth in Fiji.

The Minister underscored the significance of collaboration between the government and private entities to enhance educational facilities throughout the nation.

These dormitories, which had suffered extensive damage from fires in the past, now feature modern amenities, including more than 140 double bunk beds, allowing for accommodation of 280 students annually.
