Chinese Embassy Donates $40,000 to Transform Lives of At-Risk Children in Fiji

The Chinese government, through its embassy, has donated $40,000 to support Inspire Pacific, an NGO dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children. Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian presented the grant to Ben Morrison, the co-founder of Inspire Pacific.

Ambassador Zhou expressed the embassy’s commitment to social welfare, stating, “In recent years, the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection, under the new Coalition Government, has made significant contributions to women’s rights, child protection, and enhancing the livelihoods of vulnerable populations.” He emphasized that the embassy is honored to back the ministry’s Child Rehabilitation and Wellbeing program to uplift the lives of citizens in Fiji.

Ms. Tabuya expressed her gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador for his generosity and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals in need. She noted that the donation will significantly enhance the resources and support available for Inspire Pacific’s rehabilitation programs for at-risk children.

Ms. Tabuya also praised Inspire Pacific for its dedication to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for Fiji’s vulnerable youth. Mr. Morrison thanked Ambassador Zhou for the support and acknowledged Ms. Tabuya for her assistance in their initiatives.
