Chinese Donation Sparks Hope for At-Risk Children in Fiji

The Chinese government has contributed $40,000 to Inspire Pacific through its embassy. Inspire Pacific is a non-governmental organization focused on improving the lives of at-risk children. Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian officially handed over the grant to Ben Morrison, co-founder of Inspire Pacific.

Ambassador Zhou highlighted the significant efforts by the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection, under the new Coalition Government, in promoting women’s rights and enhancing the care and protection of children. He expressed that the embassy is pleased to support the ministry’s Child Rehabilitation and Wellbeing program, which aims to improve the livelihoods of citizens in Fiji.

Minister Tabuya expressed gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador for the generous contribution, emphasizing its potential to positively affect the lives of young individuals in need. She noted that the donation will greatly enhance the resources and support available for the rehabilitation programs that Inspire Pacific has established for at-risk children.

Tabuya praised Inspire Pacific for its commitment to creating safe and nurturing environments for vulnerable children in Fiji. In response, Mr. Morrison extended his thanks to Ambassador Zhou for the support and acknowledged Minister Tabuya for her assistance in their initiatives.
