Chinese Ambassador Offers Support for Fiji’s Drug Rehabilitation Needs

The Chinese Embassy in Fiji has reported that it has not received any requests from the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss the establishment of rehabilitation facilities for drug addicts. During a recent news briefing, Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian addressed the need for such a center, emphasizing that St Giles is not suitable for rehabilitation purposes. Ambassador Jian expressed China’s readiness to assist Fiji and invited the Ministry of Home Affairs to formally present their request for consultation. He confirmed that no such approach had been made as of now.
