On Wednesday evening, an emergency cargo shipment set off from Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, packed with essential supplies such as tents, folding beds, water purification systems, solar lamps, emergency food, and medical materials. This shipment is scheduled to touch down in Port Vila early Thursday morning.

Moreover, the Chinese government has pledged $1 million in emergency funds to support Vanuatu’s disaster response and reconstruction initiatives. This announcement was made by Li Ming, a spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency.
