A delegation from China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) visited the Ministry of Civil Service (MCS) in Suva. The AIBO oversees and coordinates all training programs funded by China.
During their visit, Permanent Secretary Mr. Parmesh Chand expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its contributions, which have benefited thousands of public servants over the years. He noted that over 100 Fijian public servants participated in specialized training programs in China this year, and he is confident they returned equipped with valuable knowledge and skills.
Chand emphasized that the visit of the AIBO delegation has strengthened training and human resource development ties between Fiji and China. He stated, “The meeting allowed us to share knowledge, identify opportunities to advance our mutual goals, and exchange ideas.”
Civil servants who have participated in AIBO training also attended the meeting and shared how the program has positively impacted their professional development.
