China Eyes Fiji: A New Market Opportunity Awaits

China aims to increase the import of Fijian products into its market. During a recent address in Suva, Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian emphasized the significance of leveraging market opportunities.

Mr. Zhou stated, “As China continues to develop a unified national market with a population of 1.4 billion, we will further tap into the potential of domestic demand.” He noted that this growth opens doors for other economies, including Fiji, expressing a desire to bring in Fijian products such as mineral water, skincare items, and noni fruits.

The Ambassador expressed optimism about the flourishing economic and trade relations between China and Fiji, inviting Fiji to explore opportunities within China’s expanding outbound tourism sector.

He also mentioned the potential benefits of establishing a direct flight connection between the two countries, hoping that this would encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Fiji.

In conclusion, Mr. Zhou indicated that China is ready to collaborate with Fiji to seize opportunities arising from the latest technological and industrial advancements.
