The Fiji Development Bank (FDB) celebrated the achievements of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the 2023 National Small and Medium Enterprise Awards held last Thursday at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. This event recognized the resilience, innovation, and growth of SMEs and their vital role in contributing to Fiji’s economic development.
Representatives from various sectors, including government, financial institutions, and the private sector, were present to support these key components of the local economy.
The winners of the awards were:
1. Avish Poultry Farms, Labasa – Best Agribusiness SME of the Year
2. Star Hospitality Company Pte Ltd, Nadi – Sustainable SME of the Year
3. Futuristic Farm, Tavua – Youth Entrepreneur of the Year
4. Celeste Kennedy – The House of Beauty, Lautoka – Woman Entrepreneur of the Year
5. Tikosaya Ledua – Ledua’s Art Collection, Suva – Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year
6. Debra Sadranu – Essence Group Fiji Ltd – Businessperson of the Year
7. Tavoro Forest Park Co-operative Ltd, Taveuni – Best Cooperative SME of the Year
8. Saunitoga Enterprise Pte Ltd, Ovalau – Best Maritime SME of the Year
9. Essence Group Fiji Ltd – National SME of the Year
