A large gathering of former scholars, parents, and students celebrated the centennial anniversary of Drasa Primary School and the 50th anniversary of Drasa Secondary School on Thursday night. At the event held at the Lautoka school, Shiva Gounder, the managing director of Subrail’s Furniture, emphasized the importance of commemorating a legacy of education and growth.
“We celebrate the 100 years of excellence at Drasa Primary School and the 50-year journey of Drasa Secondary School,” Gounder stated. He highlighted the significance of the occasion as a testament to the steadfast spirit of education and its role in shaping the future.
Gounder extended congratulations to the staff, students, and alumni of Drasa Primary School, noting that the achievement of reaching a centennial is a major milestone that showcases the strength and vision that have guided the institution since its early days.
The festivities concluded with a three-day carnival at the primary school grounds, which featured various activities such as cultural performances, sports competitions, and food stalls.
